Will Work For Candy or "Flashback Friday" - 5 June 1993

See Jane's comment on "Happy Eleventh Anniversary" for this picture.

Kim, Erin, Ali and neighbors offering to "work for candy."

"If you have true beauty it will reflect itself in others."

They won't fit in the tomato cages anymore.

One morning we found the "For Sale" sign in the front yard. Was someone trying to hint? Notice how much the front yard has changed?

In the backyard.

Wow, I'm amazed you had a picture of that. Later in the day someone drove by and threw us a bag of candy, we didn't even have to work for it! I don't even remember if we ended up eating it or not, but how fun was that. By the way, check out our blog: Wetotalcars.blogspot.com

WOw, that "Will work for Candy" memory is one of my favorites of all time. That was so fun. It was a suspenseful moment when the big lady in the little geo metro car stopped. I thought she was serious when she asked us what kind of work we did. We all kind of stood there (I actually ran frantically to the porch to be safe) stuttering. She just laughed and threw us a bag of mini-snickers. We ate them. After some inspection, of course. We turned out OK! Thanks for sharing that!!!

Jane again...cuz you have more pics...Wow, the archives are full of good stuff! So does anybody remember that family's name that lived next door? Thanks for sharing these, Glenn. Another nice trip down memory lane. Hey, I think you should do Flashback Friday, too. You would have a TON of cool pics to share. love, Jane

I don't remember the family's name, but on the back of the picture taken on the front porch it says "Jane, Erin and Karly"

The Willards. That is the neighbor's last name, and if you want their old phone number (maybe it's still current, I don't know) it's in your infamous brown phonebook, Mom. Ask Eric for the oldest boy's first name. I don't remember any of their first names, but Karly sounds right!
