2008

January was a cold, snowy month - it was a great time to read books and catch up on movies.

In February, Lance's parents went with us on a three week vacation to South America which included a two week cruise. Everything was perfect except that our checked bags didn't catch up with us until the day after we got home :(

We spent three days in Santiago before boarding the ship. It's one of my favorite cities but we didn't have much time to sight-see because we spent so much time trying to find our baggage!
Here we all are in Aysen, Chile. Luckily Lance's parents are very easy to travel with. We always have a good time with them. (I have to say that in case they ever read this)
Here we are in front of the Amalie Glacier in the Straights of Magellan. The glacier is 1/2 mile across and 130 high!
We decided it would be more comfortable to watch the glaciers from the hot tub!
Tierra del Fuego-the end of the world, but still 600 miles away from Antarctica. We're with friends we met on the ship, they're from New York, New Zealand, the Netherlands and Spain.
In Ushuaia, Argentina, the most southern city in the world.
Gentee penguins on the Falkland Islands.

On a ranch just outside of Montevideo, Uruguay. Lance's mom was afraid the calf would bite Glenn's finger.

Lance at the ranch.
Trying to figure our way around Buenos Aires after the cruise with the help of Chris from New Zealand.

In Buenos Aires in front the "Casa Rosada" and the balcony that Evita Peron made so famous.

To see 342 of the 1500 pictures we took, I think you can go to http://www.kodakgallery.com/Slideshow.jsp?UV=681728752568_260596356306&mode=fromsite&collid=25679564106.365320995306.1207640562361&conn_speed=1
